2013 Chapters Booksigning

Kate Bridges BooksigningThank you to all who attended my booksigning at Chapters!

It was great to meet young readers and their parents, and to chat about what sort of novels you like to read. Some kids would be working on book reports soon, and were looking for good stories to read. On the table, right beside the CHARLOTTE SYCAMORE books, I displayed some of the research books I bought from the royal giftshop on my tour of Buckingham Palace. The teacup is a pattern of Queen Victoria’s china that she loved. While I was writing the story, I used to drink tea from it to get me in the mood. The teacup makes it into the story, as Charlotte drinks from it while playing checkers with the Queen.

Thank you to the Chapters staff, Lynda Parkinson and crew, who helped make the event a great success on July 27, 2013!
